Minimum Requirements

The following requirements are for end users.

Smartphone or devices

An iOS device or an Android smartphone or tablet is required to:

• Set up Withings products
• Manage installed Withings products,
• If applicable, synchronise data using the smartphone BLE

Smartphone compatible OS

• Apple iOS 13.0 or higher
• Android 7.0 or higher

Connectivity and permissions

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

Android

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Bluetooth
• Location permission enabled
• Background location permission enabled

• If the end user chooses "Don't allow", the SDK will not work properly.
• For Android 10 or above, we strongly recommend you ask end users to select the "Allow all the time" option for location permission in their phone settings to make sure the Withings Background Sync feature of the SDK is working properly.

Internet access

Access to the Internet is required to set up the products.

Wi-Fi access point

A valid Internet Wi-Fi access point is recommended to configure the following devices:

• Body
• Body+
• BPM Connect
• Sleep
• Thermo

Withings devices are only compatible with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi access points.
