Device Setup
The initial setup flow, also called the “Installation WebView”, allows the end-user to setup a Withings device inside your app. The WebView need to be opened using the tokens that have been provided when you created the new account for the end-user on the Withings servers in your namespace using the Account Creation API. This account is voluntarily hidden from the end user to put the focus on your account and to avoid confusion with Withings services.
Once the WebView opened, the end user will then be taken through the installation flow. As the installation flows are hosted entirely on the Withings servers, you do not have to maintain them. Withings will regularly send information regarding new updates.
Please note that during the device setup, the SDK is using the Bluetooth LE to interact with the device. Depending on the device model, the end-user will be able to choose between two (2) installation modes that will be used after the setup: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth LE.
